How does Chiropractic work?

Chiropractic works by using adjustments. Adjustments are a specific force placed on the spine at a specific angle, which releases the joint, this may make an audible release (crack)

This releases any interference on the nervous system by allowing the brain to connect with the body better as any blocks are removed.

By being in a free flowing state your body doesn’t need to waste time and/or energy navigating that and therefore heals itself quicker (innate intelligence).

Freeing of fixations allows greater motion in the joint (flexibility) and relaxes tight muscle (greater joint range). This means that we are less prone to injury and can aid better performance.

Every chiropractor is different in how this is achieved. At The Adjustment Co manual manipulations/adjustments are usually made to the spine (sometimes extremities also) mainly by hand but sometimes via instrument.

Sometimes, if muscle is extremely taut Dr Bailey releases muscle in the form of dry needling. Or depending on the patient a tool called the Arthrostim maybe used to also encourage movement of the bone.
